GSBM 694A Going Global with Graziadio (G3): Global Business Development Practicum I (1)


Conducting business has become an increasingly international exercise. As a consequence, business executives must understand the key differences in the economic, market, and competitive environment; cultural and behavioral norms; legal and taxation systems; and the consequent impacts on conducting effective business practices in global markets. This course is intended to provide students with the opportunity to develop a comprehensive understanding of how to identify and validate a potential global market for a client organization’s products and services and to develop a comprehensive plan for pursuing these export markets. Prerequisite(s): ACCT 652 Accounting Information and Control Systems (4) ; BSCI 651 Behavior in Organizations (4)  or BSCI 607 Personal Development for Leadership (2) ; DESC 656 Quantitative Analysis for Business Operations (4)  or DESC 669 IT-Enabled Process and Decision Support in New Ventures (2) / ISTM 669 IT-Enabled Process and Decision Support in New Ventures (2) ; ECNM 657 Prices, Profit, and the Market Economy (4) ; MKTG 658 Marketing Management (4) ; and FINC 655 Financial Management of the Firm (4) .
