The course identifies contemporary macroeconomic and regulatory issues and their interface with new opportunities and threats in the emerging technological, socio cultural, and politico-legal environments of global business.

Student Learning Outcomes

Understanding basic micro and macro economic concepts with emphasis on the practical application of economic thought and theory to current national and international economic activities.
Learning to develop economic scenarios and other environmental scenarios, identify opportunities and threats and relate them to the industry structures and to the specific student’s companies.
Relate the opportunities and threats to the strategy of a company and suggest possible actions. Secure and synthesize appropriate information needed for problem-solving. Ability to develop a comprehensive solution to the threat.
