FINC 625 Modern Portfolio Theory (2)


This course establishes the foundations for analysis of optimal security selection and procedures for an investor’s portfolio of securities. Selection of individual investments is discussed within the context of portfolio creation and risk management. Core concepts in this course include diversification, measures of risk, expected return, and the covariance of returns between securities. Prerequisite(s): Full-Time–ACCT 591 Financial Accounting (2)  or ACCT 620 Accounting (3)  and FINC 614 Corporate Finance (4)  or FINC 629 Managerial Finance (3) . Fully Employed– FINC 655 Financial Management of the Firm (4) .
