ECNM 670 Global and Macroeconomic Environment (4)

This course deals with macroeconomic issues and applications as they affect contemporary business decision making. It covers, from a domestic and global perspective, such topics as price stability, unemployment, monetary and fiscal policies, capital markets, and business cycles. The course also addresses the fundamentals of international economics and business, with emphasis on political, social, and cultural forces from an economic point of view. International trade and finance are also of concern. A key objective of the course is to support the student’s understanding of how the external macro/ global economic environment can pose opportunities and threats to firms. Prerequisite(s): Fully Employed-ECNM 657 Prices, Profit, and the Market Economy (4) .
