This course examines the viability of the firm and its strategies within the framework of accounting rules and conventions. Financial statements will be analyzed from the following perspectives: the firm’s business strategy, the impact of accounting policies and practices, and the application of financial analysis tools. Creating pro forma financial statements for investment decisions also will be stressed using various forecasting techniques. This is a required course for students pursuing the MSAF Accounting track. Prerequisite(s): Full-Time- ACCT 591 Financial Accounting (2) or equivalent. Fully Employed- ACCT 652 Accounting Information and Control Systems (4).
